Vulgata Part 2. The Dun version by Daniel Bergman

his is my absolute go-to pattern to imitate the big mayflies of Scandinavia, Ephemera Vulgata and Danica. Through the years I found that by ting it on a long shank hook I have improved my hook ups a lot compared to for example extended body style flies. It’s quite an easy tie, floats well, leaves the right footprint on the surface and is highly visible on the surface. And above all, it lures even the pickiest of trout.
