This little fishy has proven to be a great pattern to have in the box on the west coast of Sweden and along the eastern shores of Norway. It’s main goal was to imitate a small goby, but I’m pretty sure it’s taken for other brownish baitfish as well. I prefer to fish it a bit later into the season when the sea has warmed up a bit and life around the seaweed beds has come a bit more to life then earlier in the season. Since the fly isn’t weighted, I prefer to fish it on a slow-mo or intermediate line with a quite fast, short & jerky retrieve with irregular stops that can be quite long in between. It’s usually the stops that does the trick! Happy tying and happy hunting!
