It doesn’t get more classic than this but with a modern touch, a Green & Gold flash fly that imitates the pike’s favorite food, baby pike. This was where it all started for me and my obsession for developing pike flies further than just some Flashabou on a hook without no real thought about why, except maybe the color. Flashabou pike flies, tied the right way are so fishy, simple to cast and very durable, don’t overdress them that only makes your fly shop happy! Overdressed flies are heavy to cast, and swims bad so as normal practice makes perfect. Enjoy!
